O que pode parecer nem sempre o é. BD é uma paixão mas não ao ponto de me toldar o juízo. Neste caso não é. Dark Knight de Christopher Nolan é simplesmente um fantástico e apurado filme. Não só porque Heath Leger é fenomenal. Que o é. Não só porque Christain Bale continua a nos entregar o melhor Batman cinematográfico de sempre. Porque o faz. Não só porque a abordagem estética à mitologia de Batman empreendida por Christopher Nolan é diametralmente oposta à de Tim Burton mas ainda assim apropriada. E é-o, o que fala muito alto acerca da “beleza” do personagem e do universo criado à sua volta. Não só porque a história não criou atalhos à inteligência. Porque não o fez.
Tudo isto e muito mais fazem deste filme cinema e arte.
E, claro, também ajuda que Nolan vai beber inspiração às fontes certas: O Joker de Alan Moore e Brian Bolland no livro “The Killing Joke”; O universo realista de “Batman: Year One” de Frank Miller e David Mazzuchelli; entre outros.
Sometimes what seems to be isn’t. Comics are a passion but not to the degree that they veil my better judgment. Which, in this case, is the truth. Christopher Nolan’s Dark Knight is an amazing seasoned movie. Not only because Heath Ledger is phenomenal. Which he is. Not only because Christian Bale continues to deliver the best Batman ever to grace the silver screen. Which he does. Not only because the aesthetic interpretation of the Batman mythology by Christopher Nolan is a complete departure of the one by Tim Burton, but still appropriate. And it is, which speaks volumes of the “beauty” of the character and it’s universe. Not only because the story doesn’t make shortcuts to the intelligence of the viewer. Which it doesn’t.
All this and some other things make this movie film and art.
And, of course, it does help that it goes to the proper sources of inspiration: The Joker of Alan Moore and Brian Bolland’s “The Killing Joke”; Frank Miller and David Mazzuchelli’s “Batman: Year One”; among others.
